Project: Gesture Broadcast Display

The Challenge

Using newly released 3D depth cameras, 3Di was asked to develop a 3D, interactive planet which spins on command through the use of a gesture - a swipe of your hand. The planet needed to be able to track any point on Earth, create a video window and broadcast an HD signal on a 10" foot diagonal projection.

The 3Di Solution

3Di developed and implented a broadcast ready solution in 8 weeks, while fully integrating the solution into the broadcast environment, linking to the control and communicating over a local network with the studio.
